Non Dairy Creamer is an alternative to whipped cream with fewer calories. It can be thickened, but it will not whip up like whipping cream. The thick cream topping is ideal to drizzle over fruit crepes, fruit filled pancakes or fresh fruit.
2 C. Italian Sweet Cream-Non-dairy liquid creamer
1/2 tsp. Cream of Tartar
With a hand mixer or immersion blender, beat until thickened. Refrigerate 1/2 hour then beat again. The creamer should stick to the spatula without dripping off. Scoop over your favorite baked goods or fresh fruit.
Note: This will not beat up like whipping cream, it's used as a thickened topping for fresh peaches or other fruits. This is ideal to pour over my Peaches n Cream Pancakes or Baked Apples or my Peach Bread Pudding.
