1 cup sugar
6 oz. Mason jar
8 drops Vanilla
Cooking sheet
Mix sugar with Vanilla, spread on a cooking sheet. Place in the oven at the lowest setting or 200 degrees. (or you can use the dehydrator) With a turner or spatula periodically turn the sugar until dry. Crush with a mortal and pestle or run through a food chopper. Pour into jar and close with tight fitting lid.
USES: Use instead of plain sugar in homemade hot cocoa, on cereal, yogurt or in baked goods.
VANILLA SUGAR~~Version 2

1 Cup Sugar
1 Vanilla Bean
6 oz. Mason Jar
Pour half of the sugar into jar, place the vanilla bean in the center, pour the remaining sugar into the jar and close with tight fitting lid. Periodically shake the sugar. After 2 weeks you can remove the vanilla bean and use for other cooking.
USES: Use instead of plain sugar in homemade hot cocoa, on cereal, yogurt, or in baked goods Do not discard the vanilla bean.

1 Cup Powdered sugar
6 oz. Mason Jar
1 Vanilla bean
Pour half of the powdered sugar into jar. Place the vanilla bean in the center. Pour the remaining powdered sugar into the jar and close with tight fitting lid. Periodically shake the sugar. After 2 weeks remove the vanilla bean. Do not discard the vanilla bean.
USES: Use in making frosting instead of plain powdered sugar, or use for dusting cake, cookies, French Toast and fruit breads.
NOTE: The vanilla bean can be cut up, or chopped up for use in recipes, or it can be reused for more Vanilla sugar, or it can be added to Vodka, Rum or Everclear to make your own pure Vanilla extract. Refer to my instruction link for making pure Vanilla Extract:
