You will love this fruit bread, it's moist, flavorful and won't last long when served. There is nothing sweeter than the sun and rain kissed strawberries of the great Pacific NW.
SERVING SIZE: 1 -9 x 5 loaf
INGREDIENTS
2 C. Flour, sifted
1 C. Crushed Strawberries (fresh or frozen (thawed)
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 C. Sugar
1/2 C. Sourdough Starter
2 eggs (beaten)
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease a 9 X 5 Bread pan. Toss the strawberries with the sugar. Mix all the ingredients together. Pour the batter into the prepared bread pan and bake 50 minutes or until a toothpick tests clean. Drizzle strawberry syrup over the finished bread if desired. Or sprinkle powdered sugar over the top.
