Makes about 2 C. Bulk Italian Seasoning
Ingredients:
1/3 C. Oregano
1 T. Garlic Powder
1 T. Onion Powder
1/3 C. Basil
2 T. Marjoram
1/4 C. Thyme
1/4 C. Parsley
Supplies Needed:
Mason Jar or spice jar)
Jar Funnel (optional but handy)
Whisk
Bowl
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together thoroughly with a whisk. Pour into an air tight container and store in the cupboard or pantry. Shake before using. Use in the same measurements your recipes call for.
NOTE: Spices and Fresh herbs do lose flavor over time, so if not used within a year, you may want to make a fresh batch. You can cut this recipe in half or quarters according to your usage.
How to Use: Use in place of commercial Italian seasoning in recipes calling for it. You can add it to biscuits or homemade breads, add it to an herbal butter mixture, use it to season butter you're cooking with, add to homemade salad dressing, Marinara, Spaghetti Sauce, Alfredo Sauce and as a rub or in marinade to season meats for grilling.
