Ingredients
1/2 pound thin sliced marinated beef * (optional)
1 can black beans (undrained) *
1/2 tsp grated fresh gingerroot
1/2 tsp. grated Orange Zest (optional)
1/8 tsp. red Pepper flakes
1 garlic clove (grated)
1 T. Soy or Teriyaki Sauce (optional)
Noodles or Rice (cooked)
Directions
Grate the ginger, garlic and orange rind. Add the red pepper flakes, Place the beans with liquid into a small sauce pan. Add the spices and 1 T. soy sauce. Bring to a boil then turn the heat to simmer 20 minutes. Add the marinated beef and continue cooking until the beef is cooked through.
Serving Suggestion: Serve over noodles or rice.
Add onions, and sweet peppers for color if desired.
Suggested Use: Black bean sauce can be used any time you want to add a unique and delicious flavor boost to your menu.
