2 T. Parsley flakes
1 tsp. Garlic powder
2 tsp. Onion powder
1 tsp. Thyme
1 tsp. Marjoram
1 tsp. Oregano
1 tsp. sage or 1/2 tsp. Basil or Savory
2 tsp. paprika (smoked paprika is a nice alternative to the regular seasoning)
1/2 tsp. White pepper
Put ingredients through a mini chopper or mortal and pestle to grind to preferred consistency.
I am not fond of strong sage taste, so if you do like sage, add a tad more to the recipe. Basil or Summer Savory can be substituted. Store in air tight container. Add by teaspoon to any poultry dish.
This recipe can be made in larger portions. I make enough to fill a regular spice jar, so I have it on hand for my favorite poultry dishes.
Since I make most of my own seasoning mixes, I buy in bulk the herbs and spices that I do not or cannot grow in my climate. (If there are spices/herbs in this recipe that do not suit your tastes, adjust to your preferences and portions). Most any herb or spice has a suitable substitute.
San Francisco Herb Company, Atlantic Herb Company and Penzy's are good sources for bulk herbs and spices and have catalogs or can be ordered online.
