1 C. Pumpkin Butter*
1 8oz pkg. Cream Cheese
2-2 1/2 C. Confectioner's Sugar
1 tsp. maple extract
1/2 tsp. Pumpkin spice (optional)
Beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Add the Pumpkin Butter and mix thoroughly. Sift the powdered sugar and stir in, add the extract and spice (if using), beat until preferred consistency, adding more or less powdered sugar.
Suggested Uses: Frosting for Pumpkin or Spice cake, Pumpkin or Spice cupcakes or filling for sandwich cookies.
NOTE: The pumpkin butter has spice in it, you can add more to the frosting if desired for a spicier flavor.
