I make sun tea year round. In summer it sits on my patio table for the kiss of the sun, but I've also made it right on my counter top. Sun tea or Solar tea, is mild flavored compared to tea made on the stove. The process seems to remove the bitter flavor that some types of tea have. For my sun tea I use an Orange Pekoe, but any tea is suitable for use and reliant on your own flavor choices. If you have not made sun tea, please refer to my instructions for making it at the following link:
1 Gallon container Sun Tea
1 Gallon Lemonade
1 Cup sweetened blackberries (to your taste)
Prepare the tea and lemonade, and chill. Prepare the frozen or fresh blackberries with your choice sweetener. Mix the chilled tea and lemonade half and half. Add the sweetened blackberries to the well chilled Lemonade Tea. Serve in glasses with a spoonful of the blackberries, lemon slice, blackberry ice cubes and a straw.
You can top of the glass with sparkling water or for adult beverage top off with white wine for a refreshing option.
NOTE: You can mix the tea and lemonade to suit your tastes. If you prefer more lemonade or more tea, then adjust the ratio.
