For a quick chocolate fix, just melt and mix your favorite chocolate, sweetened coconut and Almonds together and chill. This is a great treat for holidays or anytime.
Serving Size: 12 pieces 1" in Diameter
1 Cup shaved dark or milk chocolate or Chocolate Chips
1 Cup Shredded Sweetened Coconut
1/2 C. Smokehouse shelled Almonds (or other nuts or omitted)
Grate or shave the chocolate of for even quicker treats use your favorite chocolate chips. Pour the chocolate into a small saucepan on medium heat until melted. Watch closely to prevent burning. Add the Coconut and stir to fully incorporate. Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper. Drop the chocolate mixture by teaspoon, spaced evenly apart. Top each cluster with a whole shelled almond. Refrigerate until cooled and set.
NOTE: Toasted Coconut can be used. just pour out onto a cooking sheet and broil 2-3 minutes until lightly browned.
NOTE: This can be microwaved for 2 minutes, stir, then in 20-30 second intervals until thoroughly melted and blended. Follow procedures for dropping onto cooking sheet as above.
