You do not need an ice cream maker for Snow Ice Cream. This is only one way to make Snow Ice Cream, you can make snow ice cream with just snow, milk (or non dairy) and vanilla flavoring as well. If it happens that you are in an area where there is no snow or low snow fall, you can still make it by using shaved ice.
SNOW DAY ICE CREAM
Ingredients:
10 C. Bowl of Fresh Fallen Snow
1/2 C. Frozen Mix Berries or frozen bananas (optional)
1 T. Vanilla Sugar (adjust to taste)*
2 tsp. Vanilla extract
1 Vanilla Bean (seeds scraped)
1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk
2 T. Sweet Italian Cream (non dairy)
Directions:
When the snow is falling heavy, place a bowl in a safe place to collect the snow. Leave it outside while you prepare the remaining ingredients. Mix the frozen bananas or berries (if using), sugar, extract, vanilla seeds and condensed milk together. Bring the snow indoors and gradually mix it into to the berry mixture until smooth. Add the Italian Sweet Cream by tablespoon to preferred consistency. Pour into loaf pans, cover with plastic wrap and freeze or eat immediately. Keep any remaining ice cream mixture in the freezer.
Serving Suggestion: Set up an Ice Cream bar with all kinds of your favorite ice cream toppings.
