1 Large Apple Dutch Baby (12") Cast Iron Skillet or 2 6"- 8" skillets (individual size)
1 C. Flour
1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 C. Cream
2-3 Large Apples (peeled and cored)
1-2 T. Brown Sugar
2 T. Honey
1/2 tsp. Cinnamon (or to taste)
6 Eggs
1 T. Butter
Powdered Sugar (for dusting)
Preheat the oven to 425. Prepare the Apples. Place the butter in the skillet and melt in the oven. Place the brown sugar, cinnamon and honey in the pan and swirl around. Place the apples in the pan and coat evenly with the brown sugar mixture. Beat together the eggs, flour and baking powder. Pour the egg batter over the apples. Reduce heat to 375 degrees. Bake 30 minutes (for the large skillet) 20-25 (small skillet) or until lightly browned and the apple slices are tender.
To Serve: Dust the pancake with powdered sugar. Drizzle honey, maple syrup or Caramel syrup over the top.
