While these do not taste exactly like the store-bought version, or what you may remember from childhood, they are orangy and satisfying. Do not omit the vanilla extract, this is what gives Orange Dreamsicles their unique flavor.
Makes 6
For the Orange Layer
1 Can Frozen Orange Concentrate (slightly thawed)
1 tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract
1/2 Cup Heavy Cream
For the vanilla layer
1./2 Cup Heavy cream
1 tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract
Popsicle mold
With an Immersion blender, break up the frozen concentrate, add cream and vanilla. Pour the Orange mixture into molds about 1/2- 3/4 of the way. Blend the cream and 1 tsp. Extract. Slowly pour on top of the Orange mixture to within 1/2 inch of the top. Insert the popsicle sticks and freeze 4-6 hours. Run hot water over molds to release the popsicles.
